Medik Absorb Absorbent Gauze Swab

Absorbent gauze is manufactured from plain-weave cotton fabric that is thoroughly bleached to achieve a clean white appearance and is free from any dressing or filling materials. The yarn used is 100% medical-grade cotton, free from weaving defects, adhering seed debris from cotton leaves or seeds, and any other foreign matter, ensuring high purity and safety for medical use.

 

Available in a wide range of sizes and forms, absorbent gauze is widely used for cleaning and covering minor wounds, absorbing exudates, and managing wounds healing by secondary a intention. It is available with or without an X-ray detectable thread. When provided, the X-ray detectable thread is made from a monofilament yarn containing at least 60% barium sulfate to allow reliable radiographic detection.
